Fillings
A tooth or molar can be filled if there is a cavity or fracture. Sometimes it is necessary to replace an existing filling, for example, if it has a crack. Fillings restore chewing function and prevent further discomfort. When gums recede, exposing the tooth necks, sensitivity to cold or hot drinks can occur. This can be treated by covering the tooth necks with a composite filling. Regular check-ups at the dentist ensure that small problems are addressed in time and complications are prevented.

Oral hygiene
Children can usually only brush their teeth properly on their own from the age of ten. Therefore, it is important that parents actively help and teach good oral hygiene in the early years. A clean set of teeth forms the basis for healthy teeth in the long term. Most cavities develop during puberty, especially in young people with braces. Food residues easily get stuck on brackets, which increases the risk of cavities and gum problems. Regular check-ups and guidance by a dentist or dental hygienist are therefore essential. Nutrition also plays an important role. Sugary drinks and snacks increase the chance of cavities, while a varied diet with sufficient calcium and vitamins strengthens teeth and gums.

Extraction of Teeth or Molars
Removing teeth or molars may sound alarming, but it is usually performed with a painless treatment under anesthesia. This process is essential when other solutions are not sufficient. It may be necessary due to severe tooth decay, advanced gum disease, or in certain orthodontic cases. The dentist will carefully consider whether extraction is the most suitable option, and they will ensure that you are comfortable and well-informed about the procedure and aftercare.

Aesthetic Treatments
As we age, the tooth enamel wears down. This causes the yellow dentin to show through. This yellow color cannot be whitened by bleaching. In that case, it is possible to apply thin enamel-colored shells on the teeth to replace the lost enamel. These shells are called facings. Changes to the shape or position of teeth can also be done with facings. Depending on the dental situation and your preferences, facings can be made from different materials.

Implanteren
A dental implant is a small metal screw, typically made of titanium or zirconia, that is surgically placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. This implant acts as a stable anchor for a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, or denture. The implant integrates with the bone through a biological process called osseointegration, which ensures its stability. Proper maintenance and hygiene are crucial since the implant functions as an artificial tooth root.

Periodic check-up
Regular dental check-ups are wise. During these check-ups, teeth, molars, fillings, and crowns are examined for cavities and quality. The gums, tongue, lips, and (cheek) mucous membranes are also checked for possible abnormalities. This allows the dentist to intervene in time if necessary or to refer you to a maxillofacial surgeon for further examination. Even if you have dentures, it remains important to visit the dentist regularly.

Framework and Dental Prosthesis
When teeth or molars are lost, or when you no longer have any teeth at all – upper and/or lower – a partial or complete dental prosthesis may be considered, also known as dentures. The aim is to create a prosthesis that suits your personality. At our practice, we work together with you to find the right type of teeth, color, and shape that are most suitable for you. In this way, your prosthesis can be made into a personal part of yourself.

Root canal treatment
When the soft tissue inside a tooth, known as the pulp, becomes inflamed or infected, it is often caused by deep tooth decay, a broken tooth, or repeated dental procedures on the same tooth. The goal is to preserve the natural tooth and relieve pain and discomfort associated with inflammation or infection, thereby maintaining the tooth's functionality and preventing further complications.

Crowns and Bridges
In cases of significant tooth or molar loss, crowns and bridges often provide a solution. These dental restorations are custom-made by a dental technician outside the mouth. Crowns encase individual teeth, while bridges replace missing teeth by resting on adjacent teeth. High-quality materials are carefully chosen to ensure durability and aesthetics in these custom restorations.
